Initially employed under a carpentry apprenticeship, developing skills for first and second fix works including pitched roofs and timber frame construction, working on fit out and extension projects for commercial developments.This later progressed to being responsible for the management of site works and overseeing tradesmen.

Upon completion of my degree, I was employed as a labourer in a gang working across large projects such as the Royal Mint and British Telecom. While in the employment of Mells Roofing Ltd, I attended college to achieve an NVQ Level 2 in built up felt roofing.This then enabled the progression to running a gang of 3 roofers on various projects.
