Working as a member of a small team of 4 technicians providing technical and logistical support for bespoke manned submersibles (SDV’s). • Carried out planned and corrective maintenance. Pre and post-dive procedures. Heavy lifting arrangements. Road, sea and air movements. Working autonomously and sometimes independently supporting UKSF operations worldwide. • Maintained HF/UHF communications, Obstacle Avoidance Sonar, Doppler Navigation Systems, Magnetic Compasses, Power Distribution Units, Control/Display Units, Onboard Mission Support Computers, Air and Life Support Systems. • Acted as sole UK liaison with foreign military’s to oversee complete boat overhauls and system upgrades. Attending meetings to ensure work was completed within designated time frames. • Responsible for the upkeep of all support stores.• Experience of working with dive support vessels and Yamaha engines.

Head of the aft Seawolf Missile Launcher section onboard HMS Chatham. Planning, conducting and recording preventative maintenance, defect investigation and rectification. • Planned, controlled and assessed equipment performance trials. • Provided operational capability to the command and reported directly to the Weapons Engineering Officer. • Responsible for managing and providing on job training to section junior ratings. • Ensured safe custody of and accounting for classified material, permanent naval stores, ordnance, munitions and pyrotechnics.

Foundation Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Joined the Royal Navy as an operator maintainer serving on HM Ships Chatham and Cornwall. Duties included participating in general Seamanship, boat driving and part of ship work. Additionally I was a radar operator/maintainer, and communications specialist.
