I am an architect with skills and experience in strategic frameworks, masterplanning, concept design through to construction. I have been a founding Principal of DunnHillam Architecture and Urban Design since 2001 working on award winning public and cultural buildings for government and single residential projects. I worked with the Government Architect NSW between 2016-2019, working on design excellence, design review and guidance and strategic frameworks including being the chair of the State Design Review Panel and Competition Juries, producing the Design Guide for Heritage and helping with writing the soon to be released Government Architects Design Excellence Competition Guidelines.I am an Adjunct Professor at University of Technology, Sydney and a Non-Executive Director for Southern Cross Housing, a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider (CHP).I am regularly invited to sit on Design Excellence Competition Juries for large scale developments for the City of Sydney and others and am a permanent panellist and chair of the Liverpool Design Excellence Panel. I am regular contributor to Architecture Australia and Parlour, writing reviews of major projects around Australia and thought pieces on the topics of work/life balance, social housing and gender equity.My architectural interests are centred around sustainability, equity, good governance, innovation and buildability. My personal interests are in reading and writing, agriculture, participation in sport (not spectating!) and music.I have also had hands on experience as a carpenter, building with Jeffrey Broadfield and Richard LePlastrier in my early career.
