Main ResponsibilitiesContent design and development:• Responsible for the creation of digital content, including eLearning nuggets, infographics, hand outs, interactive PDFs, videos and animations.• Scoping, designing, developing and testing digital content, ensuring the design and delivery of efficient and effective learning that is clear, sharply written and practically focused in line with digital content and brand standards• Build close working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to create relevant and effective solutions that drive capability and performance• Review materials produced in technical areas and recommending/making alterations• Identifies opportunities to blend content across leadership, management, personal and technical skills areas• Reviews and updates content as part of a cycle of continuous improvementLearning management system:• Package, upload and configure digital content for use in the learning management system• Provide admin support on the LMS as required• Provide information and reports to the business on a regular basis based on key metrics• Assisting with business-wide LMS launch roadshowsInnovative thinking:• Keep up to date with the external environment, ensuring that solutions are industry leading and strive to constantly develop our approach and offering (content and methods used)• Role model continuing professional development• Film key SMEs to create innovative and engaging videos• Scope requirements for video and animated content production, including shot lists and preparing briefs• Create digital graphics to lead or support content – such as illustrations, icons and animations

Designing highly interactive solutions in conjunction with suppliers, plus developing digital learning in-house. Dealing with technical queries and issues using Learning Management Systems to support the troubleshooting and resolution of both content and server issues.Key Accountabilities include:• Recommend creative, cost effective e-learning and multimedia solutions to support learning and development projects.• Project manage the end-to-end process of development and publication of e-learning and assurance solutions, and other multimedia products (such as animations, simulations, video, audio, etc as required) to agreed time, budget, and quality standards, for use in blended or standalone e-learning events.• Manage the publication of digital solutions in order that they are technically fit-for-purpose with Network Rail’s Oracle learning management system (OLM), or other platforms as required.• Lead working groups of subject matter experts and internal or external development resources to agree design specifications, technical requirements, and deliverables.• Interface professionally and communicate project progress as required to the learning and development specialists, subject matter experts, and suppliers as appropriate.• Control outputs to certify that prevailing Network Rail branding, design, and technical guidelines are consistently applied, an audit trail of draft materials is maintained, and that final versions are proofed and approved prior to issue.• Identify and consolidate best practice software and tools to develop high quality training materials.• Continuously review the effectiveness of the project cycle to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
