After closing my restaurants due to economic hardships caused by the global pandemic, I leveraged my math and science competencies to offer one-on-one tutoring for students struggling with the shift to virtual and hybrid learning. Subjects I teach include Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Calculus, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. One of my core competencies that sets me apart from other tutors is my “teaching ahead” process in which students are taught the subject matter prior to taking classes in school. This innovative methodology has consistently resulted in increased student performance and has created high demand for these services.

Seeing a business opportunity in the rapidly growing craft beer industry, my partner and I opened two award-winning craft beer restaurants. My focus in the business was to manage all aspects of operations including securing the properties, hiring and training staff, designing the physical spaces, building relationships with distributors, and creating innovative customer experiences to drive sales and create loyalty. In addition to operating two restaurants, I successfully negotiated an agreement with Levy Restaurant Group to sell our signature Brats during all sports and entertainment events at the United Center.

During and immediately following grad school, I leveraged my love for math and science to deliver engaging learning experiences for students looking to improve their scores and overall performance. I designed and delivered exceptional learning experiences by customizing lesson plans to accommodate the learning and comprehension needs of each student.
