Entrepreneur, Growth Strategist, Real Estate Broker, & Executive Leadership Mentor & CoachThey say that your career chooses you, and for me, that couldn't be more true. My Real Estate journey began in 1998 as a legal assistant to a Real Estate Attorney. I've since gained experience in several Real Estate tracks: Residential & Commercial Property Management, New Construction Sales, Residential Resale, Buyer and Tenant Agency, Investor Relations, Team Development & Coaching, and Brokerage Development & Management. However, one of my proudest career accomplishments began in 2004. While attending Virginia Commonwealth University, I recognized a unique business niche. I launched my first start-up, In Motion for Growth (IMFG), a Virtual Assistant, Coaching and Consulting company focused initially on supporting Real Estate professionals. Success and growth came quickly; within our first year, we had grown to a team of 10, exceeded fiscal projections, and expanded Nationwide into other industries. Through this opportunity, I found my true passion for Strategic Growth & Executive Coaching (it's my jam!). I excel in complex collaborative problem solving, specifically strategically guiding clients to the root scenario, dissecting those situations into solutions, and mapping those into small, easy-to-manage milestones. I appreciated that this work combined my professional strengths with my love for helping others succeed.In 2011, at the invitation of one of my growing IMFG Coaching clients, I expanded my foothold in real estate by Co-Founding my second start-up as Broker/Owner in The Wilson Group, a boutique agent-centric Real Estate Brokerage firm. A year later, I became the Managing Broker, Coach, and Trainer of our second office in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2010, I became a Virginia Certified Licensed Instructor to add value to my business ventures. This provided additional opportunities to teach and author Real Estate Licensure Curriculum, Continuing Education, and Small Business Development education and training throughout the United States.And finally, I especially love that my professional work affords me the opportunity to volunteer with at-risk youth across the county. Having been a youth advocate for many years, I started a grassroots movement called the Youth Remap Challenge (YRC), which has become a focal point in my personal journey to serve the community and be a part of the change I wish to see. As an avid outdoorswoman, having backpacked cross-country, twice, I was beyond excited when my spouse was offered a Travel Nurse position that would allow our family of three to travel the Country, explore our love for all things outdoors, and visit our favorite National & State Parks. Since the business was on projection, I began to transition out of my management roles, and in 2018 shifted my focus solely to Strategic Growth Coaching, which I could do remotely from anywhere. And so, the only thing left to say was “Road trip”! I remain a private shareholder in the Wilson Group where my Virginia Brokers license continues to hang.
