This was a multi year project to migrate the whole system from running on a legacy AIX platform.I built the Weblogic domains and configured all of the fusion middleware components such as Oracle Service Bus and Oracle SOA Suite, amongst others. To aid the build I developed a number of Weblogic Scripting Tool (WLST) scripts to automate the build process as much as possible. I have also written a number of WLST scripts to allow detailed monitoring of the completed domains in an ongoing support capacity. In that support capacity I am team lead of the OFM support group, responsible for ensuring that IBM manages the OFM software and infrastructure for the client. I provide support 24x7 ensuring that we respond quickly to any incidents.Amongst the many tasks I perform are: - general Weblogic management, such as JMS, JDBC, clustering/high availability, persistent stores, work managers.- performance monitoring and tuning- investigation of complex issues using thread dumps, heap dumps, java flight recorder and app dynamics.- analysing log files, infrastructure and operating system logs to solve issues- managing SSL certificates in keystores and SSL setup in Weblogic- ensuring security risks are identified and patched where appropriate by applying patches using Oracle oPatch or BSU tools.- Working directly with Oracle support and Oracle ACS teams to resolve issues or identify improvements- Ensuring from an arctitectural point of view that the infrastructure in use is fir for purposeI am familiar with App Dynamics which is used for monitoring and alerting for the Fusion Middleware domains and responding to those alerts when generated. Once that was complete, I interviewed candidates for the roles required on the team, before assigning them work to complete.I myself worked on the development of the call centre application within Oracle Siebel and integrating with other applications.I regularly met with senior client management and IBM partners to discuss progress and work through any issues. This also included writing custom business services in java eScript and making configuration changes in Siebel Tools.I created standard workflows as well as batch workflows, which required job templates to run.I also configured and modified the Siebel Documentation server to produce reports required by the project.Part of my role involved assessing and reviewing the technical specifications provided to us by the design team. Frequently these documents were of a poor standard, and I had to completely re-design a section of functionality after discussions with the project architects. As my skillset also includes Visual Basic programming, I became responsible for creation and alteration of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet which we used for loading and unloading of reference data into the Siebel application. I coded VBA which would use MS COM to connect to Siebel and either create or remove various data. Show less

The process was managed by a Siebel 2000 call centre system which was to be customised to become ITIL complient.I was employed by PwC to configure and support their existing Siebel 2000 call centre system. In my time with PwC I became the technical team lead for the group of developers, responsible for the continual development and support of the Siebel 2000 implementation. This involved numerous upgrades (including applying Siebel patches), performing disaster recovery and working closely with the multi-lingual helpdesk who logged the Service Requests in Siebel.I personally fully installed and configured the Siebel 2000 system from scratch on 3 occasions after hardware upgrades were required. I also managed the Siebel servers, ensuring that running jobs such as workflow and communications manager did not fail.I also coded external Visual Basic 6 programs which used Microsoft COM to interface to the Siebel application and monitor various parameters, and produce reports when the parameters were breached. Many of these reports were creating in Microsoft Excel, which involved writing VBA code again to access the Siebel system via COM, and format the results of a query into an Excel spreadsheet.
