I am employed by Harsco Metals to work as an Auto Electrical Technician. The duties of this position were as follows:-- Using test equipment and hand tools to diagnose, locate and rectify electro-mechanical problems with heavy plant systems.- Repair and overhaul outdated and malfunctioning equipment.- Carry out inspections on all electrical plant equipment.- Utilize preventative maintenance procedures to reduce unscheduled downtime.- Liaise with contractors and customer in order to complete specialised maintenance tasks. - Mentor new apprentices.- Comply to company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) procedures.
