Working as US Army Recruiter has been the most rewarding job I have done within the US Army. Working as the NCOIC of the Surgery Department is probably one of the most challenging things I have done within the US Army. Keeping 5 clinics up and running with personnel, equipment and supplies. Ensuring all training is up to date for the Military and civilian personnel. Ensuring we kept up to date on HIPPA, JACHO and OSHA inspections. Training was the most enjoyable part of this time, learning to apply orthopedic cast, run a endoscopy clinic, assisting in Urological procedures.

During my time as a Senior Line Medic, I was assigned to a light Infantry Unit which consisted of 4 company’s of approximately 120 soldiers per company. During this time I worked directly under a Physician Assistant. I was responsible for training 16 medics and ensuring they kept up on all certifications and new medical procedures as well as taking care of day to day ailments and medical needs of the soldiers.

During my time at Darnell Army Community Hospital i worked an a few roles. I was chosen as the hospital Commanders Aid, during this time I was responsible for upkeep of his calendar and his transportation. I was chosen to be the youngest, lowest ranking Aid for the Commander due to my professionalism and appearance. After my tour as his Aid was complete I moved into the Urology clinic where I was responsible for setting up equipment for a variety of procedures. I also was responsible for patient check in and screening.
