My role is this position involved the management of all Hotel operations in a extremely busy fast paced operation. Working in a challenging international environment with a largely unskilled work force. Managing all facets of the hotel operation alongside the incumbent General Manager. Hotel consisting of 120 hotel rooms and 60 apartments with a mixture of long stay and short stay guests, five food and beverage outlets each with its own unique brand delivering a targeted guest experience to a wide demographic of customers. Managing a team of 400 staff with the assistance of a strong and experienced hotel management team, constantly looking for opportunities to think outside the "hotel" box and looking for new revenue streams in a challenging hospitality environment with new competitors emerging in a developing market.

Responsible for the daily food and beverage operations at the Gateway Hotel and Apartments located in the busy city of Port Moresby PNG.Gateway Hotel has seven food and beverage outlets Sizzler's Family Restaurant, Enzo's Express Cafe, Jackson's Bar and Grill, Wild Orchid Restaurant, Departure Lounge, Room Service and Conferencing. My role involves managing 100 plus food and beverage staff across all the hotel F&B outlets, developing new and innovative Food and Beverage concepts in a challenging environment.
