I also handled any complaints that came into the office and deal with accordingly. Also within my duties I would conduct staff supervision and appraisals. I would also complete staff inductions and train the carers in Moving and handling. I would liaise closely with our training and recruitment officer to ensure all staff training needs are met.

My responsibilities included preparing and managing shift rota's/working patterns, co-ordinate staff holidays, maintain cover during staff sickness, arranging ad-hoc temporary cover, distributing medicines to service users and train other members of staff to do the same. In addition to this, I prepared care plans for service users and implemented these plans within the Unit. I also completed Risk Assessments on service users and conducted home visits, which includes meetings with family members. To ensure Quality Assurance at the Unit, I regularly obtained feedback from service users on their customer satisfaction and communicate this to team members and implement any changes where necessary.I liaised with various health professionals including Language Therapists, Physiotherapist and Social Workers. I also helped the service users to integrate into the community by arranging therapeutic and social activities such as attending the cinema and bowling.As part of my role, I was responsible for recruiting new members of staff, completing staff inductions and training, holding disciplinary meetings, coaching via one to ones meetings and also general staff training. I was also responsible for sourcing training once a need has been identified.I assisted the principal manager in ensuring that the unit was run and managed in line with the national minimum standards. I also assisted in preparing for inspections from the CQC.
