Since the start of 2009 I have been running my own business as a sole trader. My workload is varied and includes house extensions, new build houses, flat conversions, measured building surveys and commercial projects. Works to date have included new build houses, general commercial work, carry out measured building surveys and producing existing plan for a large chain of public houses, also providing Architectural services to the Architects division of Middlesbrough Borough Council. With the vast majority of these jobs I have seen them through from inception to completion.I have been using Autocad since 1997 and currently run Autocad LT 2017.

Duties in this employment included:Production of full working drawing packages from initial scheme drawings. Dealing with Planning and Building Regulation applications through to approval. Handling the day to day site queries and carrying out weekly site progress meetings.The main area of work in this employment was public houses, which involved a very quick turn round from survey to project completion, and so I am used to prioritising and working on fast moving projects. The bulk of the workload was based in Scotland and so I have a decent working knowledge of the Scottish Building Standards in addition to the English Building Regulations.

Duties in this employment included:Meeting with the client to discuss projects from inception, carry out measured surveys of the building and also, when required, level surveys, prepare feasibility studies and provide the client with schemes, programmes and estimated costs. Once approval to proceed is given I then prepared working drawings and specifications ready for tender, carry out Building Regulation and Planning Applications through to approval. Once tenders were received and approved I would then see the project through from pre-start to practical completion, carrying out site visits and progress meetings on a regular basis during the contract period. With the use of computers to carry out daily work, I am fully conversant in Autocad 2004, 2005 & 2006 and have some experience of 3D work and Revit 7. I also have a good knowledge of Excel and Word as they are used on a daily basis.The main areas of work in this employment included education, social services, leisure and general DDA works.

Duties in this employment included:The preparation of full working drawings up to construction stage to meet current Building Regulations and NHBC standards. The preparation of both Planning and Building Regulation applications. The writing of specifications including the NBS standard specification. I am fully conversant with Autocad R14, AEC 5.1, Autocad 2000 and Autocad 2002 including a fair degree of experience with 3D work; I also have a fairly good knowledge of Excel and Word as these are used on a daily basis.

Duties in this employment included:A wide range of projects including housing, office and retail. The main bulk of the work consisted of working drawings, electrical layouts and kitchen layouts for the housing side, other areas of work included office fitout and some retail work.

Duties in this employment included:Initially to undertake both land and building surveys and from these with the accurate information recorded on site, prepare scaled drawings by both hand and with the use of Autocad R12, AEC 3.1 up to and including the tendering stage. I have also been involved in the preparation of maintenance manuals and I am competent in the use of Dyline Copiers and making tea.
