Having responsibilities for the Park Road factory with a turnover of £10 million, with a worldwide customer base. With a staff level of 105 including a Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, Tooling and Processes Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor. • Managing the team to achieve daily sales targets and customer on-time delivery.• Maintaining financial control including budgeted controllable costs in line with the Company’s expectations.• Training and motivating the team whilst developing key industry skills.• Maintaining excellent standards of production and quality.• Strict adherence to all Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.• Visiting and liaising with the customer base.• Identification of training needs.• Budgets and control of costs.• Health and safety management. • Recruitment of personnel.• The price management of consumables.• The setting up of subcontract operations.• Managing of new projects.• Managing claims. • Project managing fast moving customer requirements one of which included 140 tools arriving over a 2 week period altering and achieving production targets.• Introducing 5S 7 forms of waste.• SMED and the advantages.• Dealing with environmental implementation / issues.• Setting contracts with consultants on training and health and safety.• Reducing absence from 8% to 3 %.• Dealing with insurance claims on buildings and stolen equipment.
