Lee Post is an illustrator and cartoonist, whose work has appeared in newspapers, books, ad campaigns, and galleries. He was selected as State of Alaska Teaching Artist in 2017. He got his start self-publishing his zine, "Your Square Life" in 1999, after graduating college, which became then became a comic strip of the same name that ran for six years in the Anchorage Press. He's published a few children's books, submitted the first chapter to the non-fiction graphic novel "A Native Lad: Benny Benson tells Alaska's Story", as well as editing the book "Portraits" which was a joint project with UAA, Leadership Anchorage, the Alaska Humanities Forum, and the Alaska Immigration Justice Project. He has also contributed to several commercial projects, including UAA, the Anchorage Library, Municipality of Anchorage, the Great Land Trust, and the State of Alaska, in addition to logos and posters for a number of local business, non-profits and events. He’s also taught dozens of art classes to youth around Alaska both in-person and through Zoom and has done live and recorded graphic notetaking for large and small gatherings.

Responsible for the supervision of five Juvenile Probation Officer and one SSA. Initially supervised the Anchorage Probation Office’s Intake Probation Unit which handled all the incoming diversion and court referrals. Was responsible for screening all the incoming cases to the Anchorage Probation Office and assigning them to the appropriate probation officers and offering guidance on the level of intervention necessary based on a review of the report and available evidence and when necessary, consultation with the police and District Attorney’s office. Due to changes in the office and the volume and types of referrals, collaborated on an overhaul to the Behavioral/Mental Health Unit, then the overall Anchorage Probation Unit, to include staff retraining, generating new procedures and written protocols, and facilitating internal and external workgroups to refine probation’s workflow and on-call procedures. Hired, trained and performed ongoing workplace coaching with multiple JPOs. Participated in a range of workgroups and taskforces, to include the drafting policies and procedures for the Dual-Status Youth Workgroup, Juvenile Justice Fellow for Reclaiming Futures, Leadership Team for Anchorage Youth Development Coalition, Implementation Team for Anchorage United for Youth, the Multi-Disciplinary Team at Alaska CARES. Trainer for Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), and Strength-Based Interventions.
