• Responsible for health, safety and welfare of all Terminal Operators.• Competency and Performance assessments on all Terminal Operators.• Nominated Deputy for the Operations Manager in his absence. • Responsible for ensuring that daily safety critical activities are covered.• Responsible for ensuring unsafe work is stopped immediately.• Provide mentoring and coaching to Operators.• Carry out and record site inspections/safety audits with HSSE Manager.• Supporting Operations Manager in Root Cause Analysis Investigations.• Carried out commissioning on Heavy Fuel Oil Offload pump skid / pipeline (Shore to Ship Operations).• Maintain excellent relationships with contractors, service providers and coordinate and monitor all their activities at the terminal.• Produce work schedules on a priority basis and conduct briefing sessions for all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) staff at the start of each day.• Pro-actively manage relationships with clients and encourage a culture of service excellence in all terminal staff.• Act as a communications conduit between the O&M team and the Terminal Manager.• Maintain operational discipline among the O&M team and monitor closely the Permit To Work system.• Work closely with Control Room Operators to ensure all transportation, logistical and documentation requirements pertaining to the in-country export of fuel from the terminal are prepared in advance and in order.• Assist Control Room Operators in developing a cargo loading/unloading plan for each ship for approval by the General Manager, and disseminate to the Port Manager.• Responsible for Jetty Operations (Heavy Fuel Oil, Gasoil and Gasoline Ship to Shore) in the Jetty Managers absence.• Responsible for Terminal Gantry Loading Operations (Gasoil and Gasoline).• Responsible for Terminal Product Receipt (Ship to Shore).• Nominated on site Medical and Rescue Intervention Leader for Terminal Emergency Response Plan.

• Carrying out Product Quality checks on all fuels during receipt, storage and export.• Carrying out manual gauging of storage tanks in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures.• Carrying out preventative work orders in accordance with the maintenance management system.• Carrying out laboratory testing on all fuels before being released for export.• Responding to Safety Critical System Alarms and taking the appropriate action to prevent an incident.• Carrying routine inspection of tank bunds and draining water when necessary.• Responsible for the correct operation of all terminal drainage systems, interceptors and outfalls and adhering to operating procedures regarding the release of water from such systems.• Ensuring the safe operation of terminal pumping systems for all product imports, exports, vehicle returns, transfers and line stripping.• Reporting any hazards, near misses, incidents or any other safety related items.• Carrying out sampling and testing of storage tank water bottoms for microbiological growth.• Carrying out the safe operation of all fuel additive and marker systems as required.• Assisting terminal drivers with the loading of fuel tankers when required.• Supporting the Supervisor with the day to day running of the fuel terminal when called upon.

• Refuelling of aircraft in a safe and timely manner.• Loading and unloading of refuelling vehicles, ensuring full compliance with company operating procedures.• Carrying out Product Quality (PQ) checks on the fuel on receipt, storage prior to release into refuelling vehicles and onto aircraft.• Carrying out routine maintenance on the refuelling vehicles, plant equipment and fuel storage tanks on the fuel farm.• Understanding the importance of PQ checks and the implications of these checks not being carried out.• Reporting any equipment defects immediately to ensure quick repair or replacement.• Monitoring stock levels, requirements and scheduling tank testing around scheduled fuel deliveries.• Understanding the Risk Assessments held on site and the importance of them being regularly reviewed.• Understanding COSHH Regulations and the location of the MSDS’s for all relevant products held on site.• Carrying out monthly inspections on all aircraft refuelling rig steps and associated hoses and strainers.• Creating good working relationships between all staff on site, with visitors or contractors on site and 3rd parties throughout the Airport.• Keeping abreast of current Airport Operational changes and how that has the potential to affect any refuelling operations.• Ensure all site visitors and contractors have completed a site induction and made aware of the site rules and safety regulations.
