After seven years working for a company as a Canadian Fire Alarm Technician and Inspector I realized I may never be satisfied working for someone else. After helping the company grow and training several staff I still felt I needed more challenges. In 2006 I began my home inspection education during evenings while working full time days and had finished in 2008. Having such a broad inspection back ground, the home and property inspection field seemed a good fit. Turns out it was! I felt at home right away in my role and have not looked back since.Balance and achievement is important. I truly get excited when teaching clients about the history of a property or showing them how to save money. Educating clients about their property so they can make informed decisions in real estate can be very rewarding when the work is all done.Education is Key!! Having a construction and renovation background in my teens and twenty's is good primer, Algonquin College program was excellent and I couldn't stop there. Wood burning appliances always interested me so I received my WETT training after only a year in the business. Next off to Toronto for Commercial Building Inspection training with Carson Dunlop, why not, I had already spent several years in these types of buildings in my fire alarm career. The training never really ends in this profession as things are constantly changing and I think that's why it is so interesting.Loving what I do helps me take care of you.
