I started in the construction industry as an apprentice gas engineer and learned both the trade of heating, plumbing and drainage.I moved into management after being offered a role for a successful drain lining supply company called ER Systems. My role as Regional Manager in the South West and South Wales area was to generate new business, maintain exisiting clients, check stock levels and teach new skills to Directors, Works Managers and Engineers.After ERS I was offered an exciting challenge with a South Wales company, SJ Environmental Services Ltd t/a Dyno Rod. After moving to Cardiff with my family I started as a Business Development Manager. After a few years I became a Director & Business Partner which allowed me to be involved in all aspects of running the operation day to day (growth, P&L, HR) however, developing new business and keeping existing clients was high on the agenda and something I loved doing.Fast forward 14 years and my time with SJE has changed, although still a business partner, Suremark (Facilities) Ltd has become my sole responsibility on behalf of my business partners Steve & Andrea.The dynamic business provides pump support - install and breakdowns associated to waste, clean water and trade effluent. Provides assistance within the waste sector, where we are able to help with the transport of non and hazardous waste streams, solid or liquid. Contaminated, non contaminated, or inert streams.Additionally we have now begun supporting large clients with all manner of works, from day to day facilities repairs, to planned maintenance and more in a number of diverse work streams.More recently environmental standards have changed drastically and we have been entrusted by our clients to ensure they are taking the correct steps, and more recently engaged with us to improve sustainability & become net zero.As industry standards change, so do we, ensuring we collaborate with the best innovative and problem shooters in their chosen fields. Being able to scan the market for our clients ensures they can continue to deliver their business without disruption, whilst we ensure problems have solutions. Suremark continues to go from strength to strength in a number of different industries sectors, and we all look forward to an exciting future supporting those who wish to engage with us and change for the better.
