For 43 years I have worked as a Lighting Technician, Designer, Rigger and Electrician in theatre, film and television. During this time I discovered that I manage and work well with people. I have good skills collaborating with all departments involved. This would include everyone from design and direction to construction, paint, costumes and front of house. I have enjoyed this career.Since 2020 I have been working on and off with a Non Profit company called Mission Possible. My current part time/permanent position at Mission Possible is that of Kitchen Coach. With the help of many volunteers and some staff we serve up 200 hot breakfasts every Saturday morning in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver. My passion is working with people from all spectrums of life. Building team and feeding over 20,000 meals every year feels good and I like it.Since 2015 I have worked as a Volunteer Lead Cook for an international mens group called Illuman. During their Mens Rites of Passages with the help of many other men we cook 3 meals a day for 7 days feeding 100 men. During this time we work with a very remote kitchen. Building team is #1. Making home cooked meals #2.
