At A Shade greener I installed the electrical component for PV installations for the country’s leading installer of free solar systems.I regularly installed 2 - 3 systems a day, Monday to Friday, and happily worked weekends on both a rota and voluntary basis.  I filled out and handed in on time all associated paperwork to ensure rapid registration of systems installed.  I believe I work to an extremely high standard, and in a short time frame, usually 2 to 3 hours per install.   Alongside installing new systems, I regularly helped maintain and repair existing systems, duties which included fault finding on AC and DC circuits, reprogramming smart meters to bring them back online after faults, liaising with head office and customers in a friendly manner to arrange appointment times and many other activities to keep the 75,000 + installs performing to maximum capacity.  I pride myself on a polite and courteous attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues to enhance the reputation of the company in a competitive industry.  I believe I am a highly regarded member of a large workforce, and can be called on at any time to assist in the needs of the company as and when they arise.  I help colleagues with cover on their rota'd weekends if they cannot attend work for any reason, and as such I believe I am known as a reliable and helpful worker.

Whilst employed at GEP Solutions, I felt an increasingly responsible for the running and organisation of jobs, such as ensuring that the van is stocked with enough materials to last 1-2 weeks, liaising with customers and wholesalers to guarantee the smooth and quick completion of an install, making sure that all aspects of the job, from electrical to roof work were carried out in the in the safest of manners and in a clean tidy way, further enhancing the reputation of the company.I became experienced in not only the electrical installation side of solar pv systems, but also the roofing aspect, I can accurately measure out a roof to guarantee the quoted amount of solar panels will fit in a aesthetically pleasing manner. I worked on over 100 installs on both electrical and roofing work, I completed the electrical install within 2-3 hours and therefore spend the rest of the working day assisting in work on the roof and final installation of the solar panels.I was a named business card holder for the company, being responsible for purchasing supplies on a day to day basis, keeping an accurate record of spending to keep jobs within a budget. I was entrusted with a company phone to further aid in everyday communication between management, wholesalers and customers.Whilst working at GEP Solutions I gained my fork lift truck licence which means I am one of three people responsible, and able, to load up vans with solar installation kits on a daily basis
