An advocate for youths and mental health, I strive to serve my community and beneficiaries with passion and heart, to go beyond and resolve their problems. I aim to act as an instrument of positive change to my future colleagues as well as to the community. To utilize my passion and my talents to build a reputation of being dedicated to every goal with my future team and for myself. During my time in ITE and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I did not just spend my time there to get my certificates, but I went there to do actually do something. I did projects related to youth as well as mental health during my time in my tertiary education. In ITE as the operations and quality in charge, I ran HopeDriveSG, a CSR project collaborated with Singapore Sports Car Club and Beyond Social Services to inspire youths in the line of poverty that they can be successful one day regardless of their situation. In Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I headed Project SEED, a student ran project for Youths at risk with Beyond Social Services as well as leading Funnel SG, an industry project for people suffering from depression. These experiences have given me insights and stroked a sense empathy for the community as well as making me grow in character to someone who is able to connect with them and to come up with solutions for them to help them in their problems.Beyond school, I am also a mentor under Metropolitan YMCA Singapore and I mentor youths in various secondary schools where most of these youths are at risk youths. I am also a part time Thai Boxing coach in Onyx MMA for about 1 year. These experiences have made me strengthen my communication and mentoring skills for youth as I able to talk to them and understand them better. Through all my experiences, I hope to use my passion and knowledge to the social service sector and to make a positive change and add in my future workplace. I am Lee Ryan
