Nik Hawks and Lee Selman, founders of the brand Paleo Treats, have been shipping perishable food products since 2009. Rejected from Whole Foods in 2010 because Whole Foods didn’t know where to put a perishable “gluten free” food (their gluten free section was very small at the time and WF had no idea and no interest in Paleo foods) Nik and Lee focused on perfecting shipping direct to consumer and steadily built a nationally recognized brand. In 2015, Paleo Treats won one of the Top Ten Small Businesses in America via FedEx and Nik was invited to sit on FedEx’s Entrepreneur Advisory Board.
