Having worked periodically with DHS I have learned a wide variety of skills including: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, tile, painting, and concrete. The primary skills I acquired, however, were customer service, problem solving, and ethical work practices.

Received training at National Camping School to manage, inspect, and maintain a challenge course within the COPE curriculum. I was involved in hiring and training employees at Camp Lassen, BSA. Managed a challenge course of 13 high elements and 8 low elements. Duties also included being the camp's Music Director. I was invited back to National Camp School the following year as the Lead Instructor of Director Training.

COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) consists of team-based exercises and challenges facilitated on a high and low ropes course. I received training in Challenge Course facilitation, inspection, and maintenance. Also lead the Rock Climbing program.
