As an Assistant Headteacher of a large 3-form entry school, my main responsibility was behaviour and attitudes. However, I undertook the lead in many different areas of the school such as developing teaching and learning, monitoring attendance and curriculum development. I was DSL, involved in the recruitment process of new staff, monitoring of whole school practices and analyse data, where I identify and carry out the implementation of policies and jointly set targets for school development. I am a high-profile presence around the school and meet with parents formally and informally regularly and provide a supportive base for colleagues when needed.

Along with developing the SDP/SEF, I was the NQT and Induction Mentor, PE and Mathematics Coordinator and DSL, whilst also involved in the recruitment, monitoring of Teaching and Learning and oversaw behaviour. I analysed data, organise cover for absent staff and set out duty rotas, as well as conduct staff training/meetings. I also taught a Year 6 class 4-days-a-week and organise and administer SATs and 11+ examinations.

Along with general teaching responsibilities, I also lead Year 4. I was responsible for analysing data, ensuring consistency across the year group and developing the SDP. I was an ECT and placement student mentor and monitored practice alongside senior leaders.

I was responsible for developing and outstanding PE curriculum and whole school house system. I was responsible for overseeing behaviour across the school as well as line manage a number of staff and conducting performance appraisals.
