Hi folks! Kickin some time to share my drumming life with my fans! I have been playing drums since I was a child around 7 years old. Started playing snare drum only learning technique and fundamentals from a drummer in the Marine Corp Marching band. Eventually leading into a full drum kit after beating on coffee cans and other unique trinkits to get my sounds. Majoring in my HS years in Jazz band and marching band, I played in many STL bands from Rock to Metal such as Sadist, Savage and the Midnight Rambles. Later joining the breakthrough metal band in STL Axe Minister I can say Les Binks and Clive Burr were some of my biggest drumming influences at that time. My life consisted of changes and changes in musical taste leading me to be a teacher for young students and studio session work with many bands. In the 90's and later years play with bands, Rumble Fish, Malcontent, Dose, Desecrate, Kill the Day, many others and I currently kick with Divine Sorrow and enjoy every minute of it!

Founding member Bryan Chappell (lead vocals and bass) finalized the group with the addition of Mike Sikorski (guitar) and Lee Skyles (drums) and recently found Paul Schaffrin (lead guitar)...Divine Sorrow is a complex mixture of heavy atmospheric rock and analytically driven lyrics with strong melodic tendencies. The bands tenured musicianship provides strong live performance. Divine Sorrow's accomplishments include "Charter Center Stage" Best Unsigned Band, as well as St. Louis River Front Times readers choice "Best St. Louis Rock Band" and "Best Rock Album of 2012". Divine Sorrow's debut album "Tales of Descension" released May 2012, has grabbed fans and and radio along with several of the albums songs were honored by being included in an upcoming movie sound track. Divine Sorrow is an exciting and complex journey that needs to be heard by anyone who enjoys music... Divine Sorrow's NEW cd release called "Seven Deadly" will be available May 2014.
