As a trade assistant, I help lay carpet and vinyl planks. This included floor prep (the hardest bit), including tile removal, floor grinding and final clean and leveling. It was hard work but I worked with a lot of good people and learned a lot about myself as a result especially in terms of my ability to physically create something, as opposed to my long history as a knowledge worker which was dealing with bit and bytes.

Transporting peoples most beloved companions including dogs, cats, lizards and snakes, turtles over short and long distances. I enjoyed interacting with the animals and make sure their transition to their new home was a pleasant as possible. It was great to be rewarded with the smiles of the families when I reunited their friends with them.Often multiple animals had to be transported and needed to be delivered to the airport on time to meet a scheduled flight. This required me to efficiently manage my time with customers, the animals and airfreight staff while still making everyone's experience enjoyable.

Developed windows services and web sites (ASP.net) using C# and .net 4.0 for the purpose of integrating and displaying data from different in-house and remote sources. 1. An ASP.net web forms application to allow analysis of large amounts of log file data. I also developed the windows service responsible for processing the large volumes of log files to SQL 2008 backend. This windows service processed files in parallel to allow for scalability in production environment. 2.
