About Lee Tyler
Passionate and results-oriented professional that leads through authenticity, known for building credibility and an entrepreneurial spirit. Proven track record of adeptly developing and leading teams, managing cross-functional projects, and establishing all new programs in an international, multicultural environment. Deep experience in sustainability standards’ quality assurance, standard setting, chain of custody, and stakeholder engagement. I bring over 15 years of diverse experience in multidisciplinary roles and projects to the forefront, primarily in quality assurance and risk management, operations, and organizational development. My MBA concentration in entrepreneurship instilled a desire to grow something meaningful from humble beginnings, which I drew upon to create structure and scope in each of the newly formed areas for which I held responsibility. Specific to operations, I spearheaded multiple functional transformations in my responsible areas of finance, HR, and IT that transitioned the organization from a small non-profit in startup phase in a physical office to a fully remote, international non-profit. Being the central support line for the entire team for several years utilized my strength in supporting and enabling others to succeed. Most recently, I established a robust Quality and Risk Management function for all of Textile Exchange and its many programs, navigating organizational and program-specific risks, crises, legal matters, staff performance, and knowledge assets. After the organization grew and I trained dedicated staff in specific operational areas, I switched my focus from operations to what is now standards assurance. I converted our system to full third-party accreditation; lead on all chain of custody and organic criteria, interpretation, and the CCS and OCS revisions; as well as advanced the Textile Exchange standards system overall in alignment with the ISEAL Codes of Good Practice for Sustainability Standards – after which I attained and sustained ISEAL Code Compliant Membership. Afterwards, I created and lead a stellar assurance team of 15 global staff that ensured the consistent implementation of Textile Exchange’s 8 standards, even through a period of exponential growth from 68 annually certified sites in 2008 to 60,000 in 2023.I am eager to apply my skills and passion to support organizations and connect with other sustainability professionals that are dedicated to making a positive impact on both people and the planet.
Listed skills include Management, Budgets, Nonprofits, Sustainability, and 30 others.
