I control the estimating function within the Leeds office of Willmott Dixon Construction, with a team of 4 Estimators and have the role within the preconstruction senior management team of identifying and implementing improved ways of carrying out the estimating function. I am still involved in "estimating and cost management" and am generally work on the more complicated schemes that are within the department. My role also involves advising on tender win strategies, identifying scope and opportunity, and input into the other estimators projects from a holistic perspective, advising on supply chain, scope and commercial matters in general. I have been heavily involved in partnmering and two stage projects, builidng up AMP/ GMP's, advising on design and buildability as well as cost, leading bids, and identifiying Value Engineering/ Management on schemes to achieve challenging budgets. I continue to be involved in specific projects of my own, whilst ensuring as a team we are successfull in todays challenging market.
