Lee is a passionate person at work and in life. He has been in the mining industry for over three decades in a number of roles in engineering, business planning, operations, maintenance, and project work. His key speciality is strategic planning where he looks at the sensitivities of key value drivers for a mining operation or project. Lee has worked for most of his career with major companies such as Teck, Glencore, and Vale where he has garnered experience in a number of significant mines, both open pit and underground. Lee’s experience is both practical in-the-field work in operations and also working in an office environment as a business planner. Lee has unique arctic experience working both as an underground miner at the Polaris mine in the early 1980’s and then at Raglan mine as Mine Manager in the mid 2000’s. Lee has experience in indigenous relations both in the Arctic and also in Sudbury. Lee has a passion to learn about different cultures and their histories. Lee enjoys the outdoor life, especially kayaking, and believes that the mining industry can be a green industry, like any other industry, to help counteract the effect of climate change. Lee is looking for any challenging opportunities in leading large project, maintenance, & value improvement studies.
