23 years policing experience. During this time I have worked in Uniform, Bike Unit (NPU) Criminal Investigation Bureau, Auto Theft Unit, Special Victims Unit, Homicide, promoted to the rank of Sergeant in April 2016. Currently in the Training Bureau/Learning & Development supervising newly hired Divisional Special Constable Training and Curriculum Design. I have taken over 50 police related courses as well as I have a Bachelors degree in Criminology (University of Toronto), Sociology and a minor in Philosophy 1996-2000. A Masters Degree in Leadership (University of Guelph) 2012-2014.Through education, courses, learned experiences, I have gained the required knowledge, skills and abilities in critical thinking, leadership, leading, managing, mentoring and coaching, organization, written skills, interpersonal skills, interviewing and conflict management. Driven by self motivation and integrity, I am inspired by leading others, through critical thinking, with an aim to change the culture in policing to one of equality and accountability. I’m passionate about change and incorporating empathy, care and compassion into our responses to other human beings. The human heart is the true knowledge centre. It’s time for reformed organizational goals and values in order for growth and corporate responsibility to enhance.
