As many people in life change their career paths I did the same. I started work as a fabricator/ erector, in the family business which is Highcliffe Engineering Ltd. The path of our company changed in 2000 when we purchased our first mobile crane. We were using this to erect portal frame buildings which we were fabricating as well as hiring out when not on our jobs. I then took on the role of the day to day running of the crane side of the business. We have a number of mobile cranes which we hire out under CPA and Contract lift terms. I am also a slinger signaller lift supervisor and appointed person, and can operate mobile cranes.
