Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental implementation & accountable to the Managing Director for all matters relating to HSE along with welfare of employees and those affected by the company’s operations. Responsible for HSE department recruiting and project assignments as per role and skill sets of each HSE professional hired. Shapoorji HSE staff is numbered at 136 spread across 9 ongoing projects, from Jeddah to Riyadh, Dammam, Al Khobar and Jubail. This includes medical teams and associated facilities with onsite first stage trauma management. Currently updating the Shapoorji HSE Management System associated HSE procedures and safety management policies that identify and define the responsibilities of all employees. Responsible for implementation of HSE systems, auditing and trending of HSE performance. Liaise with multiple clients and PMC groups on HSE performance. Responsible for ongoing development & training of HSE staffing through 3rd party external training and in-house training sessions. Responsible to ensure projects are outfitted with latest PPE for task specific execution such as work at heights & confined space entry as examples.Responsible to ensure incident, accident and high potential near miss events are investigated accordingly via TAP ROOT cause analysis system & SOLOGIC. Develop lessons learned from such incidents and apply new techniques/educational matter to prevent recurrence.
