I am a physiotherapy student at the Singapore Institute of Technology. In the final year of my diploma studies in pharmaceutical science, I undertook a six-month part-time internship at a retail pharmacy, followed by a six-month full-time internship at a private medical clinic. They granted me the opportunity to work with patients and customers from all walks of life, seeking all sorts of medical treatments or assessment tools for a wide variety of reasons. For my final year project, I identified problems hindering the daily operations of the clinic, and proposed practical solutions. My degree studies taught me useful hands-on skills that I have never experienced nor witnessed before, in addition to enhanced communication skills, vital for communicating effectively with patients. I have witnessed first-hand the effectiveness of the skills and knowledge bestowed upon me, as I managed to help my family members and friends resolve various symptoms and health issues that they face. Additionally, I have years of experience in providing customer service in the food and beverage industry, as well as in handling logistics in the military and retail industry.My goal is to empower all people with truthful healthcare advice and knowledge through effective communication, simplification and personalisation, making it easy for everyone from all walks of life to understand and apply.
