Spearheaded the development of a high-performing threat hunting team at Snode. Mentored, nurtured, and trained analysts and onboarded interns, focusing on enhancing their skills in incident response, threat analysis, and proactive threat hunting. Leveraged my experience in process optimisation, leadership mentoring and training for analysts, while also contributing to improving our threat detection and response technologies, to enhance proactive security coverage in all areas for clients. Also successfully led a number of CSIRTs for companies that recognized Snode's unique services array and agile technology solutions, who reached out to us for assistance, while dealing with a number of challenging high risk scenarios to their financial, logistics and operational centers.

Led and mentored the SOC team at Snode, overseeing the implementation of new procedures and approaches to this fast paced environment, which included maintenance of security operations and client relationship building. Leveraged my insights in systems, project management, and data analysis to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. Utilized my strong understanding of operations and risk management to ensure compliance and protect critical assets.

• Real-time monitoring of stream alerts and events, to identify and escalate potential risks.• Threat Hunting data for abnormalities, non-standard vulnerabilities or inferred risk by data holes, • Research and provide clients relevant definitions of the risk to their infrastructure, data sovereignty, reputational risk, operational continuity and anticipate the implications thereof.• Analyse the risks identified, classify accordingly and provide specific remedial advice for action. • Ongoing auditing & updating of remediation already sent, incl. monitoring of SLA timelines.• Assist client liaisons/dev teams with product development, system enhancement & continuous improvement of all services, including client care and comms.• Stay abreast of the new types of applicable technologies, vulnerabilities, malware, zero-day exploits, hardware flaws, and have a playbook ready to deal with these if they affect the client.

After my time with Uniqfour, spent learning more about unstructured data, system deployment, client process optimisation analysis and system architecture/design, for very different environments. I realised this is where my passion lies, in solving certain challenges that I was exposed to at various clients, in a range of industries. With that in mind I took on a broad spectrum of coding and data science studies, coupled to a self-imposed sabbatical, to expand my abilities to best serve these areas of focus. I am currently working on learning to develop applications and structure intelligent data management/process flows, as I progress my studying, to solve key issues within financial markets(for now), where I have the most immediate experience to apply these new skills. While completing this undertaking, to continue funding my penchant for a large book collection and long walks on the beach, I also consult freelance. This includes all of my rich areas of expertise, along with solving those seemingly unsolvable challenges that no one wants to or knows how to deal with. I have yet to find an unstoppable force, that I could not redirect, redesign or reimagine.
