Born in New York City, Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and received a Master's in Education from the University of Arizona. Lee served in the US Army for two years on Active Duty and six years in the Reserves, leaving with the rank of Captain. His career path has included teaching Junior High English, several positions as a radio disc jockey, Executive Director of a national fraternity, development supervisor for Westinghouse Learning Corporation's inner city project, and public relations field supervisor for a New York Advertising agency. This latter position brought him to San Antonio in 1976. Lee has been married to Nancy Dale since 1960 when they met and married while both serving in the Army. Their two sons have delighted them with seven grandchildren.
