I am currently a Freshman at the University of California, Davis majoring in Aerospace Science and Engineering. Ever since a young age, I have been intrigued by engineering through engineering-based hobbies like building Gundam model kits which got me interested in the mechanics of how different systems impact each other to perform an action. This led to my decision to pursue engineering as a career. I further got interested in the specialization of aerospace engineering as I got into topics like aerodynamics which got me interested in how one could manipulate different factors in order to go with nature.As a student at Dublin High, I have pursued engineering classes to build a foundation to go into college to study engineering. Being in the Dublin Engineering and Design Academy I have begun to understand the basics of engineering with my foundational class of Environmental Sustainability which allowed me to see the place of engineering in solving problems dealt with in the world while Principles of Engineering has allowed me to gain a broader and more physical experience with the different fields of engineering. Digital Electronics has allowed me to further electrical engineering looking at its applications as well as the logic and science behind it. All of this has created a foundation and has continued my interest in studying engineering in college and pursuing it as a career.
