During my time with Sedgwick, I advanced from support staff member to claims assistant to senior claims examiner. I have experience with both medical only and indemnity claims in Oregon and Washington, including litigated and disputed claims. I have also completed a training program for California. I successfully completed the Industry Advancement Program at the top of my class and have received recognition for exceptional audit scores. I am a two time colleague of the month and quarterly values in action winner. I maintain current licensing in Oregon and Washington.

While in this position, I was responsible for general customer service and questions, payment handling, data entry, and policy processing. I also prepared the daily deposits, troubleshot and maintained client accounts, ordered day to day office supplies, and created/maintained both current and historical paper files. In addition to this, I performed standard office tasks such as answering multi-line phones, faxing, copying, scanning, and e-mailing.

• Office Assistant: While in this position, I assisted with or was responsible for general customer service and troubleshooting, veterinary supply ordering, client billing and payment processing, bank deposits, and data entry. I also assisted in client/doctor communications and appointment setting, computer system and file maintenance, medication and supply inventory, routine cleaning and care of veterinary tools and equipment, and creation of informational handouts and brochures. Additionally, I performed routine daily office functions such as filing, e-mailing, answering multi-line phones, and faxing. • Veterinary Assistant: While in this position, I was in charge of client communications and questions, animal handling, and set up/clean up for operations and other more routine procedures. It was also my duty to make sure supplies were stocked and that equipment was in good working order. Additionally, I assisted with medication dispensing and surgical preparation of the animals. I would also directly assist the doctor in such surgeries and procedures.
