Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background working in child welfare, domestic violence, education, mental health, and case management services with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds searching for a position where I can continue to grow professionally with a cohesive team and apply my strong clinical and advocacy skills. In my clinical work, I enjoy working with children and families through evidence based trauma-focused models and in utilizing art and play based interventions.I am interested in expanding further in the areas of community engagement, education, and awareness, in addition to program development.I am enthusiastic about advocacy work at all levels- micro, mezzo, macro and learning how to most effectively address human rights issues. This inspired me to earn my Paralegal and Victim Advocacy certifications to better understand and navigate some of the legal processes addressing my clients and other at risk populations. I actively work to explore how the areas of Social Work and Social Policy intersect and impact individuals in order to be best able to support them. Additionally, I am always interested in investing in continued professional development opportunities. This influenced me to pursue an Executive in Nonprofit Leadership Certification to continue to broaden my scope of practice, increases my understanding how how the various roles within an organization work and prioritize specific needs, and to facilitate growth for leadership opportunities.I am motivated by the belief that every individual has a right to safety. My passion is working with those who are interested in developing inclusive programs, raising awareness, and reducing barriers for all survivors of violence, in its various forms, to promote and empower lasting safety, healing, and stability.
