Lee Atchison is the previous Chief for the City of Mont Belvieu Fire Department. He is a long time student of the Fire Service with over 30 years of experience in upper management, front line supervision and Fire Department/Emergency Management/Industrial Operations. He has been a part of building several Fire Departments for future growth and assisting with massive change and development in management operations and Fire Department Leadership models. He has a talent for identifying employee/departmental needs and presenting the appropriate actions to meet their specific goals. He is passionate about change management, leadership techniques and development of personnel. Chief Atchison has devoted his career to personal development in order to better serve others in the areas of mentoring, leadership, and high performance. He is currently authoring a book about Mentoring and Leadership and has published several research papers that are located in the United States Fire Administration library. He is inspired daily by his wife, son, daughter in law and two grandsons. In his free time, he likes to fish, play golf, and watch his grandsons play baseball.
