Weld Projects TeamWithin this team I was 1 of 2 projects leaders, The welding department requested work to be complete and we had to investigate the best engineering solution to deliver the project. I had to write specifications using latest Honda standards. Create project cost approval presentations, schedule of works, raise orders, liaise with suppliers and manage the work from the try builds to installation. Throughout this process I had to prove to the end customers that the equipment is what they require, there are several buy offs before the installation can start.

Advance Study Group

Advance Study GroupResponsibilities within this group was to support the companies engineers with any Catia V5 related issue to do with the functionality and design. I was responsible for liaising with our Catia training partners to develop training packages for what the Honda engineers require to their job. I was also instrumental in justification of the purchase of a FDM 3D printing machine. The team were responsible for running this machine and advising the best way to design for addictive manufacturing. We were also able to support the factory with any discrete event simulation for current process improvement or new installations at the design phase.

Weld New Model

New Model EngineerIn this role, I was responsible for introducing the new model into the Welding Department. This involved travel to Japan and working within a different culture and working environment. The contribution of new ideas drove the project, thus producing the best way of producing the body in white. I was promoted to Project Leader for all new models that fell under HUM Line 1. I had control over budgets, quality and equipment for smooth start up.
