SAMD is an importer and distributor of petrol pumps to the oil industry in Southern Africa as well as the servicing and maintenance of service station sites in Southern Africa.

Was Chief Financial Officer until 2009 then promoted to Financial Director. The company developed, managed and raised funding for various businesses across different industries. Skills include strategic decision making,group financial management,treasury and cash flow management, project management, HR management and detailed company structuring from setup to establishment of financial and system controls.

At the time SAMD were primarily importers from Brazil of parts for the assembly and distribution of petrol pumps in South Africa. I was employed on a contract basis as financial manager and to focus on the stock system (Syspro) which had not been properly streamlined to compatibility with the company's existing accounting and inventory control system.

Managed a group of offshore subsidiaries and performed the Head Office Financial Reporting function for a company that was Dutch based but operated its administration function from Cape Town. The company was in the business of operating foreign exchange bureaux and money transfer businesses across Europe and Asia.

I was responsible for the development of business advisory services within the Entrepreneurial Growth Services Division and the management of the audits of some clients within that division.

LeisureNet was the holding company of a number of subsidiaries in the health, sports, leisure and entertainment industries. As Group Accountant I was responsible for the consolidation of the companies at group level and preparation of the consolidated financial statements along with the external auditors in accordance with listed company requirements.

I developed my financial management experience in a manufacturing environment in the medium sized family owned business which was in the self adhesive label printing industry.

As a management consultant for Deloitte I was involved in a number of projects such as business process re-engineering, accounting process review and material supply chain review, design and implementation of an internal control procedures manuals and budget reviews.

Responsibilities included the internal audit function for head office as well as the take-on of adhoc financial management projects.

Assisted with the administration of various liquidation matters managed by Ernst and Young Trust
