Application EngineerMatch.Com Aug 2014 - Jan 2015Dallas, Texas, Us- For the first 2 months, re-wrote an existing testing application for scalability, developed in C#, which compares an identical search run on two different servers for data consistency- For the next 2 months, shifted a testing site for the search engine on ASP.NET MVC framework to a new UI and integrated new features. It included heavy use of JavaScript when necessary to poll for data when it could not be provided at compile time with Razor, and some CSS to ensure everything fit together on the page- For the remaining time period, developed a Java application on my own that busses user profile data from the Kafka messaging protocol to a Cassandra NoSQL database in a CentOS environment and also helped with code that buses data between Kafka and MS SQL Server. Also developed on the other end of Kafka; integrated Kafka into the main search index service so that it would begin sending user profile data through that protocol.
