I am passionate about co-operative and affordable housing, social justice, human rights, and community empowerment, and I use my skills in communication, problem-solving, and collaboration to advocate for housing for all. I am also a student of Social Work at Dalhousie University, with a focus on social advocacy in the affordable, attainable, non-market/non-profit/co-operative housing movement, and a secondary focus on 2SLGBTQ+ rights. I am an elected Director-at-large on the Board of Directors of CHF Canada, the national voice of the co-operative housing movement. I use this role to empower others to advocate for the changes they need and want to see, and to amplify voices that may not otherwise be heard. I have a robust employment history with over 10 years experience in administrative roles, where I performed various tasks such as payroll, scheduling, data entry, onboarding and Human Resources, policy and procedure development, and supported senior management in daily operations. I am a creative thinker, adaptable to change, deadline focused, and enjoy working collaboratively with a team. I also have experience and a personal interest in occupational health, safety, and wellness.
