I provided business consultancy and foreign language services to Brighton-based SMEs.This ranged from full process re-engineering of the business’s response to client enquiries, from initial contact through to final delivery, to management of foreign language aspects of that delivery.I produced documentation that was adopted into the business’s quality management system and ways of working.I proofread content in English, French and German that was used by my customers’ clients in their online marketing activity, checking not only for correct spelling and punctuation, but also against brand guidelines and other client-supplied specifications.

To work with business development, client services and delivery teams to scope programmes that fully meet the objectives of our clients, and our own business objectives. To ensure these programmes are priced appropriately. To build and maintain processes and systems that allow detailed project planning, based on existing resource commitments and support ahead-of-the-curve recruitment to allow prompt commencement of new engagements. To ensure these systems deliver management reporting on resource and project usage, progress and profitability, while managing project managers who monitor and control progress on a day to day basis. To ensure that quality of deliverable is a key focus of all delivery staff, and ensure the appropriate QA is undertaken by the appropriate team member prior to client delivery. Including the creation of partnerships and the associated SLA's/quality criteria with foreign language specialist agencies to expand our international offering, including direct QA of output in languages where I have expertise (French, German and Italian) and back-translation/translation of copy from these languages to English. Combining the best and most appropriate aspects of various project management methodologies, including Prince 2, Agile and Scrum, to ensure delivery is planned and measured in the most appropriate way, dependent on the services being delivered and the client's specific reporting needs.
