IPA is the collective bargaining unit for over 3000 professional airline pilots in service to UPS Airlines based in Louisville, Kentucky.My relationship with IPA began back in 1990 when I was a Training Committee member. Additionally, I was the fundraising chairmen from 1990-1992 for a loosely run group called IPA Pilots for Kids. In the first year we raised $1,600 to throw a Christmas party for sick children in the hospital. In 1992, I founded and chaired the IPA Foundation from its beginning. The IPA Foundation is a non-profit organization that has raised almost $9M to date for children’s charities, including the Home of the Innocents, Ronald McDonald House, Kosair Children’s Hospital, Arnold Palmer Hospital Foundation, Indian Summer Camp, and the Juvenile Walk for Diabetes.
