They need cultural, organisational and business process changes but instead are focused on technology changes, maintaining silos and ignoring processes altogether because they are hard.Having worked in the oil and gas industry for two big oil services vendors then a data warehousing and analytics vendor gave me useful perspective to address the challenges of blending the best of people and technology to deliver digitalisation with Cognite and across into AkerBP.I'm a bigger picture thinker. Digital transformation and implementation of DataOps requires a big picture approach, covering different technical disciplines across data, software and infrastructure to deliver in a business context. Underlying all of this however we also need to understand culture, strategy and process too. Once all those boxes are checked, you discover it's actually all about people and organisation..
