Product Developer
Current• Maintain the product data management system ensuring all component, assembly models and manufacturing drawings are up to date and compliant with British and ISO standards• Created an Excel spreadsheet to meticulously track item expenditure against allocated budget, facilitating real-time monitoring and analysis of financial performance.• Ownership of supply-chain management from design to initial manufacture• Managing bill of materials (BOM) throughout the design lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive oversight of all components, parts, materials, and assemblies essential to product realisation.• Proficient in maintaining detailed records encompassing quantities, costs, specifications, and sources, optimising resource allocation and facilitating seamless integration within the manufacturing process.• Continually researching new manufacturing processes, technologies and materials to develop Vitsoe products and services• Applying Vitsœ’s and Dieter Rams design principles throughout all product and service development• Responsible for the management and organisation of weekly design meetings to inform the leadership team of product development activities• Proactively communicating and nurturing the relationship with suppliers to ensure Vitsoe needs, standards and ethos are upheld • Supervision of development and initial manufacturing costs to improve Vitsoe’s capital position• Collaboration with Vitsoe’s teams to obtain vital insights from all corners of the business
