Directly responsible for up to 4 crews for aircraft firefighting duties. Ensured all vehicles, equipment, and tools were functional, and ready to be deployed instantly at any moment. Maintained proper training for crew members in accordance with Federal, FAA, CalOsha, NFPA, and base policies for firefighting duties as well as hazardous materials specialized responses. Lead for the HazMat response team, which included training, setting up safe zones, identifying hazards, properly handling of hazmat substances, as well as proper disposal if needed.
