Lee M. Dewey is a Certified Public Accountant with over 45 years of public accounting experience assisting clients with accountants’ liability, corporate investigations and securities litigation and regulatory enforcement matters. He is experienced in providing services to traditional and internet-based companies including manufacturers, service businesses, international trading and wholesale and retail distribution businesses. Prior to retirement, he was the Co-National Director of the Securities Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement practice.   Lee currently acts as a consultant to the Office of the General Counsel of BDO USA, LLP. Prior to retirement, Lee worked for BDO Consulting in the Litigation and Fraud Investigation Practice. Prior to joining BDO Consulting, Lee served as an Audit Engagement Partner at BDO for assurance services. His experience included services to traditional and internet-based service companies, manufacturers, banks, international trading, and wholesale and retail distribution businesses. He has also served as an Audit Engagement Partner for clients in industries including oil and gas exploration, pharmaceuticals, construction subcontracting, commodity trading, international primary and secondary steel trading, fashion footwear and accessories manufacturing, heavy industrial material handling manufacturing, hardware manufacturing, and automotive parts manufacturing. He also served as the Concurring Review Partner on the audits of certain publicly traded oil and gas exploration companies.His experience also includes six years in Europe with secondments to Milan, Italy and London, England. During his secondments as well as subsequent to his return to the U.S., he was heavily involved in international mergers and acquisitions, audits of international companies and the related finacial reporting by Foreign Private Issuers.
