In charge of all print titles, overseeing all advertisements in regards to content and design and managing the team of designers. Responsible for 14 print publications a week as well as updating websites and digital editions.

I work across all the magazines in the company's portfolio, including a weekly, 2 quarterlies and any ad-hoc supplements that come up. I lay out the pages using Content Station and place advertisements as well as checking all ads are suitable for print. If supplied material is not suitable, I alter it to make it suit the correct specifications.I also work on marketing material including business cards, promotional material for events and provide images and advertisement for the websites.I am responsible for reformatting all print files for digital format and uploading them to our app. This includes generating page/web links and embedding video content.

Senior designer in a department consisting of four people, two based in London and two in India.Ensured that all content was printed correctly, that the work flows were kept running smoothly and that all deadlines were met for all eight magazines, as well as various supplements and catalogues.Responsible for flight-checking all ads and positioning them correctly.In charge of designing and improving layouts and templates for a range of magazines and catalogues, which varied from 28 to 600 pages, making sure all paragraph and character styles were set correctly along with spine widths and cover wraps.Trained members of staff in using Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign whilst also organising the digital online flipbooks for each title once it had gone to press.

Responsible for overall layout, design and direction of quarterly magazine title with a circulation of 4,000.I was in charge of creating concepts for various marketing campaigns which included launching new magazine titles and advertising eventsI was responsible for designing event paraphernalia which included flyers, tickets, programmes and catalogues.I designed new logos for events as well as branding for advertisements.I taught new members of staff how to use relevant programmes whilst at the same time helping them to stay on brand.I attendied in-house events to get feedback on the branding from exhibitors so improvements could be made if necessary

I was in charge of sending many weekly magazines to press through a PDF work-flow system.I spoke with printers to maximise the quality of publications.I proofed and PDF'd catalogues and directories.I created PDFs from Quark editorial pages ensuring all fonts and images were embedded.I designed advertisements and various other web buttons for the sales teams.

I ensured all advertisement were sent in on time and were to the right specifications.I proof-checked pages and advertisements before sending them to print.I dealt with printers and distribution companies to ensure a smooth running of the printing process.I created excel spreadsheets for accounting and analysis purposes.
