I am an Associate Broker with Maine Business Brokers. I joined the company in 1998 as its Operations Director. I began working as a broker again in 2010 after taking some years off from it. In addition to listing and selling businesses, I also perform market valuations and handle the Internet marketing of our businesses. I have had a diverse management career with an in-depth understanding of business operations. I have owned and operated my own business and managed others. My background includes prior work as a business broker with V.R. Business Brokers and extensive work with non-profit organizations. I have served as an officer or director on numerous Portland area boards, holding the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Project Chairman. As a Registered Parliamentarian, I also provided Board Training. My personal writing has been published in two magazines and a book.Year-round I enjoy walking/hiking, agility classes with my dog, and cooking. In the summer I also kayak, camp, and garden - flowers and lots of veggies. I've been training with kettlebells since 2006 and I am a Portland Trails Steward.

As Operations Director I was responsible for prioritizing operational needs, systems management, website maintenance and updates. My work included improving the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the company’s mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. I worked closely with the agency’s brokers and with all aspects of marketing the company’s business opportunities. I was also the executive editor for the business offering summaries prepared by Maine Business Brokers and oversaw buyer inquiries and registrations.
